[デトロイト ５日 ロイター] – 米大手銀行ＪＰモルガン・チェース(JPM.N), opens new tabのジェイミー・ダイモン最高経営責任者（ＣＥＯ）は５日、中西部ミシガン州デトロイトでロイターの取材に応じ、アルゼンチン向けの民間融資は最終的に必要なくなるのではないかとの見解を示した。
ベセント米財務長官は先月、銀行や投資ファンドと協力し、アルゼンチンのソブリン債投資に向けて２００億ドルの融資枠創設に動いていると発言した。ただＪＰモルガンやバンク・オブ・アメリカ、ゴールドマン・サックスといった協力銀行は、保証や担保なしにそうした多額の資金を融通することには消極的だ。
ダイモン氏は融資は必要ないかもしれないが、銀行団はアルゼンチン支援には前向きだと強調した。
その上でアルゼンチンのミレイ大統領について、困難を抱える経済の抜本的な改革のために良い仕事をしていると賞賛。ミレイ氏が改革を継続できるなら、外国から１０００億ドルの投資資金を得られる可能性があると付け加えた。
一方ダイモン氏は米連邦準備理事会（ＦＲＢ）にも言及。トランプ大統領が自身の意見を発信し続けるだろうし、高金利を好む大統領などいないと指摘しつつも、ＦＲＢの独立性は維持されると信じていると述べた。
