[ニューデリー １３日 ロイター] – インド政府が１３日発表した９月の消費者物価指数（ＣＰＩ）(INCPIY=ECI), opens new tabは前年比１．５４％上昇し、８年ぶりの低水準となった。インド準備銀行（中央銀行）が１２月の金融政策決定会合で追加利下げを行う余地が生じた。

食品価格の下落を背景に前月の２．０７％上昇から伸びが縮小し、２０１７年６月（１．４６％）以来の低水準となった。ロイターがまとめた予想は１．７％上昇だった。中銀目標範囲の２─６％を下回ったのは過去３カ月で２度目となる。７月にも２％を下回っていた。

中銀は、インフレ率が３四半期連続で２─６％の許容範囲を超えないようにすることが責務とされている。

ＩＣＲＡのチーフエコノミスト、アディティ・ナヤル氏は、中銀は１２月会合で２５ベーシスポイント（ｂｐ）利下げすると予想されていると述べた。また利下げのタイミングは、これまでの利下げ効果が反映されるかどうかと、減税と米国の関税が経済成長に与える影響に左右されるとした。

中銀は年初から１００ｂｐの利下げを行っている。１０月の会合では政策金利を５．５％に据え置いたが、１２月に利下げする可能性を示唆した。
