[ワシントン １６日 ロイター] – 米国防総省のコルビー次官はこのほど「ウクライナ優先支援要件リスト（ＰＵＲＬ）」に基づく初めての武器援助パッケージを承認した。事情に詳しい２人の関係者がロイターに語った。
ＰＵＲＬは、欧州諸国が資金を負担する形で米国製武器在庫をより迅速にウクライナへ供給する仕組み。今回、第１弾として最大５億ドル相当の２つのパッケージが承認を受け、間もなく発送される可能性があるという。
これまでトランプ政権は、ウクライナ向けに武器を売却するか、バイデン前政権時代に援助が決まった武器を輸送するだけだった。
関係者は、欧州諸国がウクライナのために購入することが認められた在庫の詳しい内容は明らかにしていない。ただウクライナが緊急に必要としている防空システムが含まれていると述べた。
米国防総省はコメント要請に回答しなかった。
