/MONTSAME/. President of Mongolia, Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, held a telephone conversation
with President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jae Myung, on September 4, 2025, to
discuss ways to deepen strategic ties.

President Lee Jae Myung expressed
appreciation to President Khurelsukh for the congratulatory message on his
election and extended warm greetings to mark the 35th anniversary of
the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and South Korea.

The two leaders welcomed the consistent
advancement of cooperation across social and economic sectors and acknowledged
the ongoing development of the Strategic Partnership between their countries. Commitment to economic cooperation
was underscored, with both sides recognizing that high-level reciprocal visits as
vital to deepening trust and strengthening bilateral relations.

President Lee Jae Myung reaffirmed
his earlier invitation to President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa to pay a state visit to South
Korea.

The two sides agreed to accelerate
the progress on ongoing projects and continue effective negotiations on the
Mongolia-Korea Economic Partnership Agreement, while exploring cooperation in
emerging sectors, including rare metals and information technology.

The importance of friendship and
camaraderie between the people of Mongolia and South Korea was emphasized as a
key factor in the rapid expansion of bilateral relations and cooperation.
Leaders expressed strong support for further strengthening people-to-people exchanges
and endorsed enhancing cooperation between the relevant institutions.

President
Lee Jae Myung accepted President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa’s request to consider visa-free
travel for Mongolian citizens to South Korea, in line with the temporary exemption
granted to South Korean visitors to Mongolia, and agreed to maintain close
cooperation on the matter.

President Lee acknowledged
the meaningful contributions of Mongolian citizens living and working in South
Korea to the country’s development and progress.

The parties commended the close cooperation
achieved in international and regional arenas and pledged to enhance collaboration.
