[７日 ロイター] – 米自動車大手ゼネラル・モーターズ（ＧＭ）(GM.N), opens new tab は、は、中国の大手車載電池メーカー、寧徳時代新能源科技（ＣＡＴＬ） (300750.SZ), opens new tab から電気自動車（ＥＶ）用の電池を輸入する計画だ。事情に詳しい関係者が７日、ロイターに明らかにした。

この取り決めは、ＧＭが自社で低コストのリン酸鉄リチウムイオン（ＬＦＰ）電地の製造に取り組む中、今後数年の暫定的な対応策になるという。

ＧＭは声明で「この数年、他の米自動車メーカーは、ＬＦＰ電池の調達とライセンス供与で外国のサプライヤーに依存してきた。競争力を維持するため、ＧＭは最も手頃な価格のＥＶに搭載する電池パックを一時的に国外のサプライヤーから調達する」と説明した。ＧＭは次期「シボレー・ボルト」にＬＦＰ技術を用いるとしていた。

ＧＭはまた、国内で生産した電池を搭載したＥＶ１２車種を米国で販売しており、２０２７年にＬＦＰ電池の国内生産を開始する予定だと付け加えた。

米紙ウォール・ストリート・ジャーナル（ＷＳＪ）は先に、ＧＭがＬＦＰ電池を輸入する計画について報じていた。
