[フランクフルト ８日 ロイター] – ドイツのメルツ首相は、年内に大手企業幹部らの代表団を率いて中国を初訪問する予定という。事情に詳しい関係者が明らかにした。
欧州最大の経済大国であるドイツは中国にとって最大の貿易相手国の一つ。貿易関税を巡る米国との摩擦が続く中、メルツ氏の訪中はドイツと中国の関係を支える上で重要とみられている。
関係者はロイターに、中国企業はドイツへの投資拡大を望んでおり、メルツ氏の訪問は両国の緊張関係修復につながる可能性があると述べた。
訪中は早ければ１０月にも実現する可能性があるが、まだ最終決定されていないという。
ドイツ首相府の報道官はコメントを控え、中国外務省はコメント要請に応じていない。
