ロビンフッド、ＥＵ利用者が米国株を取引できるトークンの提供開始

[３０日ロイター] – 米インターネット証券大手ロビンフッド・マーケッツ(HOOD.O), opens new tabは３０日、欧州連合（ＥＵ）加盟国に住む利用者向けに、２００銘柄を超える米国株や上場投資信託（ＥＴＦ）を取引できるトークンの提供を始めたと発表した。これにより、ＥＵから米半導体大手のエヌビディア(NVDA.O), opens new tab、ＩＴのアップル(AAPL.O), opens new tab、マイクロソフト(MSFT.O), opens new tabなどの株式を売買できるようになった。

ロビンフッドのテネフ最高経営責任者（ＣＥＯ）はフランスでのイベントで、年内に取引可能な株式を「数千銘柄」に拡大する計画を示し、「トークン化は大規模な取引革命の扉を開く」と訴えた。併せて生成人工知能（ＡＩ）を開発する米オープンＡＩや、米実業家イーロン・マスク氏が率いる米宇宙関連企業スペースＸなどの非上場企業の株式に連動したトークンを提供する計画も明らかにした。

ロビンフッドの株価は前週末比で１０％弱上昇し、過去最高値をつけた。

トークンはブロックチェーン企業のアービトラムとの提携を通じて発行。手数料無料で使うことができ、週５日２４時間取引できる。将来的には独自のブロックチェーンを開発し、トークンの取引時間を週７日２４時間に広げる計画だ。

専門家は、トークンを使った株式取引が証券投資市場を劇的に変える可能性があるとの見方を示す。一方、現在のところ米国では規制が明確になっていない。

暗号通貨（仮想通貨）取引所クラーケンも５月、米国外の投資家向けに株式と連動したトークンの提供を始めている。
