［サンフランシスコ　２６日　ロイター］ – 米アマゾン・ドット・コム(AMZN.O), opens new tab傘下のクラウド世界最大手アマゾン・ウェブ・サービス（ＡＷＳ）で、生成人工知能（ＡＩ）開発の責任者を務めたバイスプレジデントのバシー・フィロミン氏が退職した。

米テック大手の間で生成ＡＩ部門の人材獲得競争が激化している。フィロミン氏はロイターへのメールで、ＡＷＳを退職し、別会社に移ったと述べた。ただ、詳細は明らかにしなかった。ＡＷＳの広報担当者もフィロミン氏の退職を確認した。

フィロミン氏はＡＷＳに８年間勤務。生成ＡＩの取り組みと製品戦略を主導し、基盤モデル「アマゾン・タイタン」の監督を担った。

広報担当者によると、以前アマゾン・エラスティック・ブロック・ストアを統括していたバイスプレジデントのラジェシュ・シェス氏がフィロミン氏の職務の一部を引き継いでいる。
