[ロンドン／ブリュッセル ２０日 ロイター] – 欧州連合（ＥＵ）加盟国政府は欧州投資銀行（ＥＩＢ）の今年の支出上限を１０００億ユーロ（１１５０億ドル）に引き上げ、ＥＵ防衛産業への融資を３倍に増やすことで合意した。関係筋が明らかにした。
この方針はルクセンブルクで開催されたＥＩＢ理事会で承認され、２０日に予定されているＥＵ財務相会合で正式に承認される見込みという。
新たな年間支出上限は昨年の融資実績を１００億ユーロ以上上回る。ＥＩＢのカルビニョ総裁は今年の目標を９５０億ユーロに設定していた。
関係者によると、防衛関連プロジェクトへの融資も昨年の１０億ユーロから３５億ユーロに増額される見通しで、これは１月に公表されていた２０億ユーロを大幅に上回る。また、技術革新や再生可能エネルギーなど他の分野にも資金を提供する。
