[シドニー １８日 ロイター] – オーストラリアのアルバニージー首相は１８日、欧州連合（ＥＵ）との安全保障・防衛パートナーシップに関する交渉を開始すると述べた。
主要７カ国（Ｇ７）首脳会議で訪問しているカナダのアルバータ州カナナスキスで記者会見し、「防衛産業、サイバー、テロ対策などの分野での現在や将来の協力にとって重要な枠組みだと考えている」と述べた。
アルバニージー氏は、双方の閣僚が今後数週間のうちに協議を進めるとし、協議は「かなり早く」まとまるだろうと語った。
