OSAKA, May 19, 2025 /ANSA=Kyodo JBN/–

Puglia has once again presented itself as a leader in the aerospace sector during the week dedicated to the region with events held inside the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.

Many top companies were at the universal exposition, starting with Novotech, a business specialized in the planning, production, testing and certification of primary structural components for aerospace applications.

Based in southern Italy, the company has some 30 employees and has developed a strong know-how in working with composite materials through automated and out of autoclave processes.

Novotech is actively involved in the development of cryogenic and pressurized tanks, using the most innovative technologies like automated fibre placement (Afp) with an 8-axis Coriolis robot.

It is a partner of the European project Cocolih2t for the development of compliant Lh2 tanks.

A leader in the transport and aerospace sector, Sitael, which is part of the Angel group, boasts some 3,000 professionals.

The company offers integrated solutions to access space, specializing in the planning and production of microsatellites, electrical propulsions and low Earth orbit missions at a contained cost, accompanying clients throughout the phases of analysis and definition of missions.

Nesst instead develops components in composite materials through 3D printing.

Founded in 2022, it closely cooperates with Roboze, a leading company in FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technologies.

The main objective is the replacement of metals with high-performance polymers in the Aerospace & Defence sectors.

Rea Space was also founded in 2022.

The Italian startup focuses on the research and development of wearable innovative devices for astronauts to make space missions safer and more advanced.

Another company present at the Italy Pavilion is Planetek Italia, a Benefit company founded in 1994, specialized in geospacer solutions and the management of satellite data.

With over 130 employees, it offers services to monitor the environment, urban areas, defence, agriculture and space missions, simplifying the complexity of Space to favour awareness and sustainable action on Earth.

Gap (Geophysical applications processing) is an innovative company active in the downstream sector of Earth observation.

It develops advanced solutions for environmental monitoring, based on satellite data and on avantgarde scientific technology for the interpretation of the observed physical signs.

Cetma is a non-profit research and technology consortium created in 1994 with the aim of promoting industrial innovation, providing multidisciplinary services for the development of products, processes and technologies, reinvesting profits in activities of research, training and education.
