[香港／シドニー １日 ロイター] – ニュージーランド（ＮＺ）乳業大手フォンテラ(FCG.NZ), opens new tabが売却を検討しているグローバルコンシューマー事業を巡り、明治(2269.T), opens new tab、フランスのラクタリス、カナダのサプート(SAP.TO), opens new tabなどの同業企業が入札を検討している。複数の関係者が今週、明らかにした。
同事業のほか、オセアニア事業とスリランカ事業も売却予定。
関係者によると、売却予定の事業の価値は約４０億ニュージーランドドル（２３億７０００万米ドル）に上る可能性がある。
米国のプライベート・エクイティ会社、ウォーバーグ・ピンカスも事業取得に興味を示しているという。
フォンテラは昨年１１月、国内での牛乳加工という中核事業に集中するため、これらの事業を売却するか、新規株式公開（ＩＰＯ）で上場させるかという２種類の計画を発表した。
関係者によると、同社は今年半ばまでに売却を完了させたい考えだが、ＩＰＯプロセスについてはまだ検討中という。
フォンテラは３０日、一連のプロセスについてコメントできないと回答。ラクタリスとウォーバーグ・ピンカスはコメントを拒否。明治は、正式なコメントはできないとした。
