［デトロイト ２９日 ロイター］ – 米ゼネラルモーターズ（ＧＭ）(GM.N), opens new tabは２９日、通期の業績予想を撤回した。同日発表した第１・四半期決算は好調だったが、トランプ米大統領が打ち出した関税による先行き不透明感を反映した。
また、関税についてコメントする前に時間が必要として、投資家向けの電話会議を５月１日に延期する異例の措置を取った。
１月時点では、２０２５年通期の純利益を１１２億─１２５億ドルと予測していた。
トランプ大統領の二転三転する関税政策は自動車業界に不確実性をもたらしており、アナリストは新車価格が数千ドル上昇する可能性があると見積もっている。
ＧＭの最高財務責任者（ＣＦＯ）、ポール・ジェイコブソン氏はメディアとの電話会議で「関税の将来的な影響は甚大になる可能性がある」とし、これまでのガイダンスは考慮しないよう呼びかけ。「基礎事業は依然として好調に推移している」にもかかわらず、同社のコストは前年比で４億ドル増加したと明らかにした。
第１・四半期の売上高は２．３％増の４４０億ドルとなり、予想の４３０億ドルを上回った。価格上昇を前に買い急ぐ顧客の行動に後押しされた。調整後１株利益は２．７８ドルで、予想の２．７４ドルを上回った。純利益は６．６％減の２８億ドルだった。
午前の取引でＧＭの株価は２％超下落した。
