[パリ/ワシントン １７日 ロイター] – ウクライナとロシアの戦争終結を欧州側と協議するため１７日、フランス首都パリを訪れたルビオ米国務長官とウィットコフ米中東担当特使はマクロン大統領と会談した。
ルビオ氏は、米国が示している和平の枠組みについて「心強い反応」があったと明かした。
マクロン氏が大統領府（エリゼ宮）にルビオ氏とウィトコフ氏を招いて実現した今回の会談は、欧州側が加わって初めてのハイレベルの対面形式でのトランプ氏の和平案を実質的に話し合う場になった。
具体的な会談の内容は明らかにされていないが、複数のフランス政府高官は「非常に素晴らしい」協議で、ウクライナの将来を巡る交渉の席に欧州が復帰したことを物語ると説明した。
マクロン氏は「誰もが平和を望んでいる。しっかりした持続可能な平和だ。問題はどういった段階を踏むかにある」と述べた。
同氏側近の１人は、この話し合いでトランプ氏が目指す戦争終結についての見解が集約されたと明かした。
フランス側によると、来週には今回と同様の形式で場所をロンドンに移して協議が行われるという。
ウクライナのイエルマク大統領府長官もマクロン氏の外交顧問やルビオ氏、ウィトコフ氏らと会談。「完全な停戦や多国間の軍事的な関与の条件、ウクライナにとっての実効性がある安全保障の枠組みを含む公正で持続的な平和の達成に向けた次のステップに関して意見交換した」と語った。
一方ルビオ氏はロシアのラブロフ外相と電話会談し、米国務省によるとルビオ氏がトランプ氏の戦争終結への熱意を伝えたという。
