[ワシントン １日 ロイター] – ロシア政府系ファンドの責任者キリル・ドミトリエフ氏が今週、ワシントンを訪問し、米国のウィットコフ中東担当特使と会談すると関係者が明らかにした。ロシア高官の訪米はウクライナ侵攻以来初めてとなる。
ドミトリエフ氏は２月、国際経済投資協力を担当するロシア特使に任命された。
ＣＮＮによると、両氏は米ロがウクライナ紛争終結を目指す中、両国の関係強化について協議する。
ドミトリエフ氏はＣＮＮの報道に対し、「そうかもしれない。米ロ対話に対する抵抗は実在する。既得権益と古い考え方が原因だ」とＸに投稿。「しかし、関係改善こそが、持続的な国際安全保障と平和のためにまさに世界が必要としているものだとしたらどうだろうか」と書き込んだ。
ホワイトハウスと米国務省はコメントしていない。在ワシントンのロシア大使館はコメント要請に応じていない。
