I've most definitely heard of McKinsey&Co, as soon as you mentioned that's who you're talking about I thought "ok, I'm stopping and coming back when I can watch this properly"-thanks for doing such a deep dive on this awful "consulting" company
The 70's were not a good time. The liberal democrat Jimmy Carter was basically forced to try deregulation because everything else had been tried, and nothing worked. The leftist tone to these "documentaries" always ruins them.

MyKinsey was/is also active in my country (germany).
Our former Minister of Defense, Ursula von der Leyen hired McKinsey to advise procurement and organizational changes in our military. McKinsey made millions, but the story gets even worse.
The contract to McKinsey was not awarded in a bidding process as required under german law, the MoD just decided to give a contract worth 46,5 Million to them, which was illegal.
The story gets even worse, parliament launched an investigation into the whole thing, it came out that the true scope of McKinsey Operations was far larger than asumed, without parliament being informed. And here it gets even worse, turns out, 4 of the 5 children of Von der Leyen worked at McKinsey, and when Parliament requested von der Leyens Phone data, Whoops! it got deleted, too bad!
I hope Von der Leyen faced some repercussion, and not get promoted to, lets say the president of the EU commission where she can do even more shady shit… right???
When we buy armed drones for our military the first target for a dronestrike should be McKinsey HQ.
