IMO>Its a joke that Albertsons, Walmart ect is asking for WILDFIRE RELIEF $$ for millionaires hahahahahah I care about the animals & people (in that order) Why don't all these multimillionaires pool some $$ together & stop asking people who can't even afford to live there for $$…..
Still no unknown cause of the fire and probably will never find out the truth only speculation and lies on hiw it started.
The benchmark for fire response time across the u.s. is 9 minutes, and 90% of fires meet that benchmark. This fire wasn't responded to for 25 minutes, almost triple the benchmark. The woolsy fire in 2018 took 20 minutes. The LA fire department has the lowest ratio of firefighters to residents of the top largest metro areas. I'm no mathematician, but i would gather that their lack of adequate fire fighters reduces their response time and is directly responsible for the growth and size of a fire before they arrive. Experts say no fire department could have fought against this crazy "natural disaster" but time is of the essence and i think we can pretty confidently say that it would not have grown to its size if they arrived sooner. Maybe it still would have spread for a few days, but certainly, there would be less acreage impacted, less homes destroyed, and less deaths. Their budget tightening has backfired. Firefighting is not a place to be cutting back, especially in a place where fires are common. It begs another question: Are fires common because of the climate conditions or the long ill equipped fire department and water management?
Hopefully people of Califonia learned a lesson on why you need to elect someone with common sense to lead your state .

Newsom REFUSED to do anything he was advised would HELP prevent and slow the burns — yet he is too beholden to the “Climate Activist” and “Conservationist” — while lame DEI Mayor Bass is also absolutely partly to blame, as she cut $17Million to the Fire Dept. budget with another $40++Million targeted!

So sorry for everyone's loss. Listening to all the News Stories, I place the blame squarely on the policies and politics that lead to all of this. Environmental concerns overriding good forestry practices, poorly funded services and routine maintenance of infrastructure and especially DEI hiring practices. I guess I will have to save my own ass in an emergency in California. Those lesbian Firefighters will tell me it's not their fault, I should blame climate change.

Not a natural disaster. The arsonist was caught and released. All of the dead brush wasn’t cleared and the high winds were predicted. Perfect timing to clear land for Newsom’s vision of “smart cities.”
Could put special fire gear in drones they would be no different than google earth only they could help from a level that we couldn't. They would have no other purpose than storing info about earth and putting out fires!? I mean they wouldn't even have to clean house or take care of kiddos and hubbies either.

We.need to give it a way to tell us when things like this happen if we can't have drones to put the fires out it needs to be able to tell the fire department immediately. Like a watchman or watcher guard..? Humans can do this to but w3 would have to have 24 hour look outs for fires all the time or else it is always to late when we find fires or there's unfortunate circumstances… Like first responder robot that responds before the human first responders because it is its life's purpose to watch for fires kinda
What is interesting is last fall Malibu had a big fire just to the north. Infact the PP fire stopped burning to the north because it ran into the burnt up area in Malibu. 5 years ago there was a fire at the base of the mountains near PCH, on the north side of the populated area of PP. The news reporter mentioned the issue of evacuation through only one main road and showed cars backed up trying to escape the fire. Seems like the disaster planners in PP did not learn anything from these previous fires.

With all the suspect people that have been allowed to cross our borders, it is not beyond comprehension that these fires were started intentionally. Seems like they all were basically started in the timeframe. What were their fire hydrants there for, just the dogs, it’s crazy to think that none worked.

I hope people are smart enough to leave california. They have no water running through the fire hydrants. The governor want let trucks coming to help in because of there emmisions lol. An state farm cancelled every ones fire insurance the day before.
