Russia’s gas transit to Europe via Ukraine stopped on Wednesday, Moscow and Kyiv said, ending a decades-long arrangement and marking the latest casualty of the war between the neighbours. Russian gas has been supplied to Europe via pipelines crossing Ukraine since the end of the Soviet Union in 1991 in an arrangement that earned revenues for Moscow from the gas and for Kyiv from the transit fees.

Like moldovia didnt know about it for years , now they react and start crying ?????????? These leaders are the cause of their problems today , they thought they could make Ukraine sign a new contract by whining .
Evidence clearly shows that Russia have defeated the USA & 45 of its vassals in Ukraine. Western overpriced "wonder weapons" are scrap metal littering Ukraine's landscape.

Moldova was going to play on the pity side as always) playing the victim, saying they only used Russian gas for Pridnestrove that is supported by Russia. But seems like Russia run out of patience and it all came clear that it's not just Prodnestrove that was vitally dependent on Russian gas)

Every major european country spent the past 3 years preparing for this. Ukraine did their part by honoring the contract, despite being at war, and Europe used that time to find alternatives. Now the contract has expired, it’s their fault for taking Russian gas for granted

Moldovans, Hungarians & Slovakians could just offer their homes to Russia in exchange for Russian gas. Stop the dumb blame game, blaming the Russian invasion on Ukraine as if the rape victim enjoys her ordeal.
Turning off the gas will cause tensions to rise between Transnistria and Moldova. Russia will say Ukraines move to shutter the gas is on purpose to hurt the pro Russian region of Transnistria. Transnistria will call on Russia for aide and its Donbass all over again in a non NATO country with a Russian separtist region. This is all by design, and whether Moldova gets gas or not, Transnistria will be squeezed by Ukraine and Moldova regardless. I doubt Russia stands by and lets a region they can easily annex in a non NATO country be reclaimed by the West.
