A mysterious flu-like disease, referred to as Disease X, is being investigated. It has killed 79 people, although reports vary, with some indicating that more than 200 people have died in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Nobody knows exactly what this disease is. It might be a filovirus, one of the hemorrhagic diseases, or even a coronavirus. Alternatively, it could be the first significant incident of a new flu strain, possibly a mutated bird flu.
What we do know is that it predominantly affects young people, similar to how the bird flu of 1918 disproportionately affected younger individuals. Experts expect that the identity of the disease will be revealed within the next 48 hours, as top virologists have traveled to Kinshasa, the capital of the DRC. Of the victims, 40 or more reportedly died in the hospital.
One unusual symptom that sets this illness apart from the flu is that it causes severe anemia, which destroys red blood cells—a trait not typical of influenza or, as far as we know, coronaviruses. This raises the possibility that Ebola, for instance, has mutated into an airborne form, which would have catastrophic implications.
Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Hotez, a well-known expert who appeared frequently on CNN, MSNBC, and News Nation during the pandemic, warns of multiple other health threats. He notes that 10 different viruses are currently circulating in the United States. At the same time, figures like Bob Kennedy and Donald Trump advocate reducing funding for vaccines, vaccine research, and pandemic preparations, instead suggesting a focus on chronic illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.
Dr. Hotez highlights several pressing concerns: a major coronavirus likely emerging in Asia, viruses jumping from bats to humans thousands of times annually, and mosquito-borne viruses like dengue and possibly Zika making a resurgence along the American Gulf Coast. He also mentions the risk of Oropouche virus and yellow fever.
In the United States, there has been a fivefold increase in pertussis (whooping cough) cases, which can be fatal for children. Tragically, children are already dying from this disease. Additionally, there have been 15 separate measles outbreaks this year, and polio has been detected in wastewater in New York State.
Despite these alarming trends, Kennedy has vowed to slash research spending on infectious diseases, reallocating those funds to address the nation’s chronic disease epidemic. This decision comes at a time when the world faces numerous emerging infectious diseases, exacerbated by a global population now exceeding 7 billion—up from 1 billion in 1800 and 2 billion in 1930.
As diseases continue to jump from animals to humans with increasing frequency, the proposed policy shift could have dire consequences. This is further compounded by the nomination of an FDA head who supports the concept of herd immunity—a strategy that encourages exposure rather than prevention.

I never got covid 4 years later. I dont know why. I had dna testing and i have no organic antibodies. I only wore mask around family who made me. Never any other times. I dont know how or why.
