Russian region declares state of emergency as Black Sea oil spill cleanup stalls
Emergency has been declared for the Russian region of Krasnodar Krai.
This is after two ships ran aground in stormy weather on December 15th, spilling thousands of tonnes of oil into the Black Sea.
Volunteers are working to save sea life, in a clean-up that’s likely to continue for months.

this Russian who speaks Polish says that these tankers should not sail on the sea. These are old tankers adapted to the river. They sank at sea during a storm. They ordered to transport fuel on the wrong ships first, and then they blame the captains of the ship. Two captains are in prison. 9,000 tons of fuel leaked into the Black Sea.
