A strong earthquake struck Japan’s north-central Noto region. The Japan Meteorological Agency reported a magnitude 6.4 quake off the western coast of the Noto Peninsula at a depth of 10 kilometres (6.2 miles). Authorities confirmed there is no tsunami danger, and no injuries or damage have been reported so far.
