Communities along the coast of Japan’s Fukushima prefecture remain concerned over the ongoing release of water from the area’s badly damaged nuclear power plant. The water came into contact with hazardous materials within the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, but then underwent a treatment process that removed most radioactive elements before its release. Despite assurances from the Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco) and experts with Japanese and international authorities, some local residents in Fukushima remain wary of the future.

  1. I wanna see these people who say its safe eat seafood from fukushima…and get tested at a later date by a third party.

  2. Purification by dilution etc is a falacy… Didnt we see millions of fish mysteriously washed up the shores in the americas?? One time 300 small whales washed up. This is just like tsjernobl in europe… People are still getting cancer there… 40% of all soil in europe was contaminated…

  3. Sell fishes to Boss USA,they should buy them all….'Cause one of the investor of that Nuclear plant is from the US!

  4. The scientist at the Fukushima University is paid by the Japan Government. Of course he says the discharged water is safe.

  5. If you go to your local market and noticed nowdays they offer bigger, quality fishes at reasonable prices! Its local fishes they say!

  6. They used to say handphone emits radioactive waves that might cause brain cancer without scientific proofs .. How many deaths till now that made that statement realistic ?

  7. Rest in pieces japan. once a destroyed nipon always a destroyed nip. GO AHEAD and consume all that seafood – get tested by a 3rd party, independent health auditor, lets see what happens to the future generations of the japanes.

  8. Waiting for the chyna troll to deny their seafood at the same time they are eating fish caught in the same area.
    🤣🤣🤣

  9. Breaking News: After Japan 🇯🇵 beat China 🇨🇳 7-0 last night in a World Cup 2026 Qualifier, China announced it would impose restrictions on Japanese seafood imports. LOL

  10. Please watch Nuclear For Dummies on YT, and learn the truth about the ELE (Extinction Level Event, that is ongoing. The Noto Peninsula was hit by a 7.7 quake on 1/1/24. No news on the 4 NPP effected by that quake, no news on the town that was wiped out, nor it's residents. You can't treat radioactive water or soil. Tepco, who ran the Fukushima facility, has covered up this ELE. Crimanals!

  11. I hope the water becomes safe for fishes so these guys from these towns can do their jobs. It may sound off topic but I chanced on this cool translator that does everything and more of what a translator should have, name is Immersive Translate. Thank me later, it's gold.

  12. The water is not safe as the treatment process does not remove all the radioactive elements especially tritium. The half life of tritium is 12.5 years. After 50 years the amount of tritium decays to 1/16 or about 6% of the original amount and is still not safe. The radioactive elements can be concentrated thousands of times higher via the biological food chain.
