I do think she was a bit behind on the dynamics though, her DOI performance of this SP strangely looks better, and I think it’s because of the first two 8 counts where the tango part starts. she hit the hard beats better in the DOI show version, which may be why this version felt a bit flat at exactly the same part. it’s the steps hitting the right dynamics, even the simplest steps, that makes watching something feel exciting.
example being: compare seeing someone stomp-stomp-clapping to the intro of We Will Rock You on the off beats, and then someone beside them doing it on the right beat. the moves on the beat make the energy because both are cohesive.
Love it. And I love that powerful skaters like Kaori and Amber are being rewarded, the quality of this skating is so much higher than when the Russian children were dominating the several years ago. Give me speed power and edges over a pre-rotated quad toe any day.

Even her own asian black hair disagreed and resisted 😂 That's why she didn't get true blond color and got this rusty and dusty horrible shade 😂 By the way, Ms. Valieva 'became" blond two months ago. Why Sakamoto did the same? It's just a coincidence, right 😂
