関西電力は27日、フランスから海上輸送された高浜原発3号機(福井県高浜町)のプルサーマル発電用のプルトニウム・ウラン混合酸化物(MOX)燃料は、仏アレバ社に製造を発注した20体全てと発表した。同日夕までに輸送船から施設内に運び終えた。

MOX fuel from France at Japan nuclear plant
A freighter carrying uranium-plutonium mixed-oxide, or MOX, fuel processed in France arrives at Kansai Electric Power Co.’s Takahama nuclear power plant in central Japan on June 27, 2013, in the first such shipment to Japan since the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster. Twenty MOX fuel rods processed from spent nuclear fuel by French nuclear firm Areva SA were delivered from the vessel to the facility.
