y’all remember the 2021 lcq which was a disaster Co cases Tech issues online servers this one had it all the first issues came before the tournament even started the oceanana teams were straight up unable to attend and even though everyone was playing in person they were using online servers and boy there were a bunch of technical issues got we I’m holding my breath here Doug I’m holding my breath there it is we’re able to actually see that round play out I started walking stairs and there’s this ghost in front of me and I just start shooting it and and I realized the the server just DCd Riot’s response to this was honestly pretty fair citing strict Co guidelines on how a remote server would be best if a player needed to be quarantined just in case someone tested positive remember this was late 2021 and players did end up testing positive though results were conflicting with positive and then immediately negative tests forcing Riot to Halt the lcq and eventually move it all online
