    3.5 years ago I too killed my own self for another… 😢😢 Only for it to have little to no effect for the one I did it for. Now I'm stuck in freeze mode and LOST everything I once held so deeply in my now empty vacant shell of a beating 💓😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️😶😶

    It took me a while to understand that he was actually talking about "himself", this song it's like a metaphor, when he's say "me" was the one he killed, he meant that he changed who he was to a new person, so he can impress the one he loved, took me years to understand the song isn't exactly about an actual "homicide", still very deep.

    This is just the way i see this 🤷‍♀️

    I just watched the Lego Movie 2 (great movie by the way, as is the first). Emmet growing up and turning into Rex for Lucy reminded me of this song. She didn't like the "new" him, grown up like she thought she wanted. Aah, such a good song… It fits in so many places.
