  1. "Nyquist won the race for three-year-old males"??? The Kentucky Derby is for 3 year olds, full stop – colts, geldings and fillies – males carry 126 pounds and females carry 121 pounds. Just because there were no fillies entered in 2016 doesn't change the race conditions. Jeesh! Twinspires you should know better.

  2. Jesus that was awful. It's like the band was conducted by a completely different conductor who insisted on playing it twice as fast.

  3. 4. Just not May without this, the Indy 500, the Preakness, and the NBA and NHL playoffs. Thanks a lot, Covid.

  5. as living in Kentucky i am devastated that they just announced that they are not singing it anymore because it is somehow rude because it talks about slavery and some people are offended. i get why they are but they weren’t all these years and now they are. im sitting here crying it is part of the biggest tradition ever and now it is going away.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

  6. Part of what makes America great. I would love to be there in person just 1 time. On my bucket list.

  7. Activists and rioters trying to cancel an anti-slavery song because it's "racist".

  8. Too many Radic-l L-ft W-ng Marx-st Mor-ns want to make everything about slavery and rac-sm to divide and separate our great Country.
These same numbnuts give Senator Byrd(Ku Klux Klan member), Biden(fought civil rights legislation), and the rac-st Democr-t Party(fought abolition) a free ride!
Stephen Collins Foster was not racist! His parents were major supporters and contributors to the Abolition Movement.

  9. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy

    Psalm 33:12-14,18

  10. Nice melody but recently found out it was originally a song about a slave taken away from his famy.

  15. Awesome- Hello from Newfoundland, Canada. One of the Sports events i never miss. Read somewhere that it's the oldest sporting event in North America, started in 1875. That's incorrect. The St. John's, Newfoundland Royal Regatta is the oldest-started in early 1800's.

  16. If you will go to Baliwag, Bulacan in the Philippines, try to sing this song…this is their "National Anthem" in that City.

  17. ケンタッキーにはエルコンドルパサーを始めとするグラスワンダーヒシアマゾンにタイキシャトルの故郷として有名です

  18. They changed the words!
    Here are the REAL LYRICS:

    Verse 1:
The sun shines bright in the old Kentucky home, ‘Tis summer, the darkies are gay; The corn-top’s ripe and the meadow’s in the bloom, While the birds make music all the day. The young folks roll on the little cabin floor, All merry, all happy and bright; By ‘n’ by Hard Times comes a-knocking at the door, Then my old Kentucky home, goodnight.
    Chorus:
Weep no more my lady Oh! weep no more today! We will sing one song for the old Kentucky home, For the Old Kentucky Home far away.
    Verse 2:
They hunt no more for the possum and the coon, On meadow, the hill and the shore, They sing no more by the glimmer of the moon, On the bench by the old cabin door. The day goes by like a shadow o’er the heart ,With sorrow, where all was delight, The time has come when the darkies have to part, Then my old Kentucky home, goodnight.
Chorus Verse 3: The head must bow and the back will have to bend,
Wherever the darky may go; A few more days, and the trouble all will end,
In the field where the sugar-canes grow; A few more days for to tote the weary load, No matter, ’twill never be light; A few more days till we totter on the road, Then my old Kentucky home, goodnight.
    Chorus

  19. My old Kentucky home and back home again in Indiana, played right before the start of the Indianapolis 500. Our the greatest.
