The completely new anime project “Spice and Wolf -merchant meets the wise wolf-” announced as the series’ 15th anniversary finale project, will be broadcast in 2024.
KADOKAWA電撃文庫にて発行されている、第12回電撃小説大賞〈銀賞〉を受賞し、2021年にシリーズ15周年を迎えた大人気ライトノベル『狼と香辛料』。
現在ではシリーズ累計発行部数500万部を突破しており、更に続編となる『狼と香辛料Spring Log』やスピンオフシリーズ『新説 狼と香辛料 狼と羊皮紙』などが刊行されており、国内だけはなく海外でも高い人気を誇る本作。
シリーズ15周年フィナーレ企画として発表された完全新作アニメプロジェクト『狼と香辛料 merchant meets the wise wolf』ですが、2024年に放送することが決定いたしました。

◆ストーリー
若き行商人クラフト・ロレンスは、荷馬車を引く一頭の馬を相棒に、街から街へと商品を売り歩く日々を送っていた。
ある日、黄金色の麦畑が広がる小さな村を訪れた彼は、耳と尻尾を有する美しい少女と出会う。
「わっちの名前はホロ」
自身を“賢狼”と呼ぶホロは、豊穣を司る狼の化身だった――。
彼女の「遠く北にあるはずの故郷・ヨイツの森へ帰りたい」という望みを聞き、ロレンスとホロは北を目指す商売の旅の道連れとなる。
だが行商人の旅には思いがけない波乱がつきもので……。
孤独だった行商人と、孤独だった狼の化身を乗せた馬車が、今、騒がしく走り始める。
