福島第一原発の処理水の海洋放出です。政府と東京電力は気象条件などに問題がない場合、24日午後1時ごろにも始めるとみられます。
関係者によりますと、政府と東電は福島第一原発の処理水の海洋放出を午後1時ごろにも開始する方向で調整しています。
東電は、海水で薄めたおよそ1200立方メートルの処理水をいったん大型の水槽にため、放射性物質のトリチウムの濃度を測定した結果、濃度が1リットルあたり1500ベクレル未満であることを確認したということです。
24日、これを公表したうえで海底トンネルを通じて海に放出します。
ただ、気象条件が悪く波が高い場合は船によるモニタリングポイントでの測定ができなくなるため、放出を見送るとしています。
