Avu-chan was not buying cosmetics, she was buying drugs for her hangover! And an entire shelf of bread too apparently lmao. She was drunk in the MV (and had bruises & cuts all over her; they haven't clarified in interviews where they come from so they could be from a partner or self-inflicted. The point is she isn't doing well.)
I think the implication here is that this was Avu's daydream, not Ryuhei's. The lyrics are more about someone reminiscing for their childhood again because adulthood has only brought suffering to them & the MV makes more sense knowing that too. Avu (the adult in this case) is in a bad place, & she dreams of running away, of "being saved" – from adulthood & all that it entails. She wants to experience childlike joy again but it's not real & will never be. Kind of a bleak note to end on because in contrast to how happy they both looked in that daydream, reality ends with nothing changing. Ryuhei is stuck working & no one helps Avu. Depressing but fitting for the song !!
KERENMI is the producer so the vocals are all Avu or Ryuhei. Avu wrote most of the lyrics and also helped Ryuhei co-write some parts! Apparently Ryuhei's been a fan of Queen Bee for a long time and they're the band he listens to the most— last year during the Summer Sonic Festival, he finally got to meet Avu after her performance & asked her if she'd like to appear on a talk show with him and she said yes (she later admitted she was drunk when Ryuhei asked her though lmao). They hosted a radio show together & Avu gave him a lot of advice about songwriting + his insecurities and discussed her musical influences with him, it was cute. This collab was a long time coming and I'm glad they got to work on this together.
Gracias ❤
exciting🎉 thank you🎉Japan
Thank you for your reaction movie . I wish subtitle will be shown on this MV, too.
Thank you for watching. It's our first collaboration song, and it's an amazing world view, and even though I'm Japanese, I understand the lyrics, but it's difficult to interpret.Behind is also available, so please check it out if you like.
