    This is one fo those few songs that make me genuinely sad listening to it and I can't pinpoint why. It might be because of how I was when I originally binge watched Spice and Wolf. In any case, this is very well done, and very helpful for actually understanding the song.

    I finished the anime, and damn it is a master peice, however the ending is such a cliffhanger thats why new season is needed.

    The second cour of S&W hits like a rock, and when I watched it it also hitted home. For that reason, I think I felt more immersed during the second half of the story because it was even more relatable than the first part

    my cat died last week and I keep hearing this song in my head even though he never get to listen to this before. I lost him to a dog's bite and a bad doctor. I still grieving and this song came up even though I haven't listen to it in age. Is there any message from him in this?😭

    As someone who loves this anime and was a bit disappointed by the movie opening to season 3 (aside from the Azaku airdrop scene), this end credits music more than made up for it.

    This song is very beautiful, but at the same time it brings me such sadness and even pain. These lines especially:

    "If you can't find it, I will show you where it is.

    The memory of a distant day that bloomed,
    Of the sight of a country blue,
    With shining eyes, I will tell you."

    There will come a time, and Holo will outlive Lawrence, but what makes these lines so painful is when you realize that she won't just have to witness his death, she will have to spectate how he first slowly withers.

    I recently learned that my grandma has dementia. She's been forgetting stuff, sometimes even making up memories of someone hurting her. Hearing these lines I can't help but imagine Lawrence beginning to forget things due to age and/or illnesses, and Holo retelling their story to him, more and more frequently as the memory degrades.

    At some point his mind might also start coming up with false memories, possibly those that will make him believe that Holo is not a dear person, but someone who has hurt him in the past. Or forgetting who she is entirely.

    And just as my mother now cares about my grandma out of love, dismissing all the hurtful things grandma does, because she knows it's not her fault and she doesn't mean it, the same way Holo might have to eventually endure all this pain, realizing it will only be getting worse, but doing her best until the very end, because that's what true love is about.

    The vocals here only enhance this feeling, as it gives off a vibe of pain and inevitability of the bad outcome being hidden behind kindness and compassion, but there being so much of it that it bleeds out through the intonation.

    SaW was my first anime and it's very near and dear to my heart. This song has one of the most beautiful melodies in my opinion. If I had to describe it, it feels like a comfortable corner I can snuggle up to when I need.
