外国為替市場で1ドル＝140円台まで円安が進むなか、財務省と金融庁、日銀の幹部が急きょ会合を開き、為替市場の動向などを注視していくことを確認しました。
神田財務官：「（為替相場の）過度な変動は好ましくない。政府としては為替市場の動向をしっかりと注視して、必要があれば適切に対応していく考えに変わりはない」
3者会合は30日夕方、日銀が植田新体制になって初めて行われました。
為替市場ではアメリカで金融引き締めが長引くという見方が強まり、円相場は先週後半以降、半年ぶりに1ドル＝140円台での取引が続いています。
参加した財務省の神田財務官によりますと、アメリカの債務上限問題や銀行の経営破綻など様々なリスク要因があるなか、3者による連携や協調体制を確認したということです。
神田財務官は「あらゆるオプション（選択肢）を否定しない」として、過度な為替の変動には去年10月以来の為替介入も辞さない姿勢をにじませました。
