What a mesmerising performance! I used to find this nocturne somewhat repetitive, but Aimi's rendition is so abundant with interesting and refreshing textures that breathe new life into the piece!!

She definitely nailed that one!
In urtext scores, there’s a very long RH legato slur running from bar 3 to 25 (!). Aimi got it exactly right unlike most other players in the competition. And her emphasis on LH counterpoints brought out so many colorful nuances. She has grown from a wunderkid into a real maestro.
What a beautiful and soothing Nocturne! She created a whole new world of Chopin at this competition. Thank you for your wonderful performance.
