The footage saw Cruise and the film’s director, McQuarrie, demonstrate the stunt where the actor drives a motorbike on a ramp and off a cliff, leading into a base jump. To train for this complex sequence, Cruise did over 13,000 attempts. He later said, “I have to get so good at this that there’s just no way I can miss my marks.”
