Excited for this new adventure 😄
I hope octopath 2 links back to the first in some way. Maybe its the same continent thousands of years later (octopath 2 appears to be in a more technologically advanced setting)
Will this still have the out of focus backgrounds?
For those who haven't played the first, is it fine to start with the sequel?
I saw this and my heart jumped out of my chest. I loved the first game so much I wish i could play it for the first time all over again. I'm so excited for this game to come out I feel like a kid in the 90s again

I want the other characters to participate and be visible in everyone's stories this time. Maybe some dialog too during the stories. Chat banter can stay but this is needed for a better overall experience!!!
In the first octopath game the names of the characters spelled the name,
in this game in order the name should be HAPOTTOC witch is an acronym of octopath,

I’ve played a lot of Square Enix games, but the soundtrack of this one is the best. I’m most looking forward to that.

Guess i'll be picking this one up? I really hope that they connect the stories, even if it is only slightly. My only complaint about the first one is that the storylines felt "empty" because the other adventurers didn't really interact with each other any memorable way.
The only dub voice I like is the Merchant, but damn, he puts in the work. Did we have to get a fox girl, though?
I love the new day/night mechanic. Reminds me when Pokemon was good.
