So there is really nothing new… I am starting to lose hope for this semester, since the 1st of November is my last chance

Your campaign is discriminatory. It represents the same risk a student as a tourist. And maybe a tourist is less risk because of the short stay. If you think the tourists are riskier because they come in larger numbers, you’re giving the Japanese authorities the reason for the closed borders. It is already proved that closed borders only worked at the beginning but not anymore. So your campaign should be focus on all people who want to enter Japan. Plus a tourist bring more economic benefits than students.

I actually think they gov can even double up student quarantine day from 10-14 to 20-to 28 if they are so worry that student might carry the virus to enter Thier country . Honestly after we waiting so long we surely won't mind to have more quarantine time the. Having our life hanging middle of nowhere .
This is totally win and win situation for them . Imaging we student are actually paying yearly school fee and carrying at least 1/2/3-4 million yen each of us just to support our education .
It's so frustrating, I think my mental health is at its limit. After now 19 months of waiting it is just too much for me to handle.
I hope at least the government is aware of what they are doing and how they are ruining lifes with what they are doing.

Some people like me, quit their job and house when border were open in december with the promise of organizations and schools that everything would be fine.
Then we have been stuck and waited for for the end of emergency stat, all these Covid waves, the Olympic Games, The para Olympic Games, for vaccination, now for election.
Already 7 months of online course totally unsuitable for long term.
This time will be retired from my visa, this means less JLPT exam to pass, less job opportunities, a poor language learning in the end, a project of a new life ruined after having lose everything.
I am curious about the public opinion in Japan. Do Japanese want international students to enter Japan or not?

I already have COE and still waiting for Japan to open the borders hope this move could make all the students from abroad enters Japan ASAP
Please… Please try harder. Or send a tweet to a politician. It was so hard that I got depression. Because Japan is unprecedentedly disqualified from entering the country, I spent two more years on college entrance exams. It's probably my fault for choosing a country called Japan.

I'm worried nowadays that even if they open the borders, the amount of students requesting entry permit would be much more than what they used to handle. Wouldn't their administration system be paralyzed?
I'm giving understand that no policy regarding this matter would be done until the election overs. But what about the election that is to be held next year? I can't live like this if they postpone any further decisions until that election.
