Inoue-san, this year marks the 22nd anniversary of your debut. He’s been in big productions, theaters, and a lot of lead roles.

I have! I get nervous every time, even though I’ve experienced dozens and hundreds of performances. To put it in extreme terms, I think there’s no way I can do well today… I was able to do it until now, but I may not be able to do it today. To put it the other way around, I’m standing on the stage without any basis. During the play, I can focus on the other co-star, so I can forget that kind of anxiety.
