    Yonezu: Kenshi Yonezu's speaking here. I made the opening theme for the TV anime "Chainsaw Man". The title of the song is KICK BACK. Daiki Tsuneta-san joined me in the arrangement. I've been reading "Chainsaw Man" in manga form for a long time, and after quite a while, I'm really looking forward to seeing what will happen next each week. I had the impression that "Chainsaw Man" is a rare(?) piece of work, and I was talking about it every day.
    Tsuneta: "Chainsaw Man" is good, right?
    Yonezu: Right, right. Then I had a hunch that it would be even better if I worked with you, Daiki, so that's how I asked you to do it. And then there's what the animation would be like…..
    Tsuneta: Just kind of trailer was released, but it's pretty incredible…
    Yonezu: Well, it's very much in the works already, and I'm personally looking forward to it, regardless of whether I'm involved or not.
    Tsuneta: In Kenshi Yonezu's history, KICK BACK is probably the loudest song, right?
    Yonezu: [laughing]
    Tsuneta: I think so.
    Yonezu: I think that you would never have come out on your own to participate in this project….
    Tsuneta: A little bit, you know, playing the role of pouring fuel on* (*encouraging) you.
    Yonezu: I guess so.
    Tsuneta: I'd like to play the role of setting you on fire more.
    Yonezu: I'm completely satisfied to have the feeling that you boosted me a lot.
    Tsuneta: Well, it's really alternative rock in full swing, but I think it's pretty good this time, personally.
    Yonezu: That's true.
    Yonezu: I used Morning Musume's song "Sou da! We're ALIVE" for this arrangement. When I was in elementary school, Morning Musume's songs were played everywhere.
    Tsuneta: Yes, that's right.
    Yonezu: It's like it's impossible to avoid. They sing (the lyrics in "Sou da! We're ALIVE") "shiawase ni naritai"* (*I want to be happy).
    Tsuneta: Yup, yup.
    Yonezu: That "shiawase ni naritai"… "shi-ya-wase ni naritai" that's how they sing it.
    Tsuneta: "shi-ya-wase"…
    Yonezu: Right. That's how Morning Musume sing it. I had been replaying that "shiawase ni naritai" in my head for a long time. It was in my elementary school days. When I was working on this song, I remembered that, and when I started to unravel it, I realized that this was the only way to do it.
    Tsuneta: The objective is already captivating, it's already insane. Seriously. I think it's seriously insane.
    Yonezu: It's totally an inevitable thing for me. I think it turned out to be a very good song, so I shall be most grateful if you can enjoy it.
