Great Movie! If anyone ever tries to remakes this in America… IDK. It could use a sequel, since this seems like a good prequel to the game. I have to read the book now.
the movie came out first than the game. real fans of parasite eve would appreciate the movie. Oh. and the game was based on the Manga parasite eve Diva. If you like the game series, I suggest you should learn the history of it all rather than comment on something that you don't really know.

thanks for uploading that movie, a little slow but quite nice. , i love the video games one and two, i wish they could make another on in movie, the thied sounds alright but haven t play yetthis game got something more than most of the games it s an rpg survival action game that refer a bit to some element of biologie, which is generally rare in videogame , the terms are correct only the effect are fictionnal, so if someone at school tell you about michotondria don t jump in fear, it s really little part within our cells lol i like japanese cinema, it would have been great that the movie would have been directed by takashi miike, but it s alright, first you get a bit bored especially if you know the games who are a bit more dynamic with tremendous effect, and you start believing it s a short budget movie, yet it start a bit of drama toward the end, and get quite romantic. it remains me of another japanese movie called " audition"
I'm really glad I watched this movie. It was after the games that I learned there was a movie adaption. The actors were good with delivering emotion and suspense, the effects were solid for the 90s and the OST is just really beautiful. I have yet to read the novel, so I think that's where my next mission begins.
The ending made no sense. Kiyomi died when her brain died Therefore there would be nothing (no consciousness) left of her for him to appeal to. Only the will of the mitochondria would have remained.
This movie isn't ACTUALLY anything particularly special. Especially considering it's a horror flick with some very silly dialogue (I still find the whole sentient mitochondria thing kind of funny, especially considering how there's that whole thing you have to memorize about it in high school), but it does have one thing that most horror movies don't: An actual conclusion.
It's nice when someone has a story they want to tell, and then they just tell it, and DON'T design it so that it'll have a dozen sequels because MARKETING! If memory serves though, I think this came out before the game.
Speaking of which, Eve didn't get anywhere NEAR as close to annihilating humanity here as she does in the game.

I always thought this movie was so romantic. To LOVE at such a level… I'm envious, really. I covet such… because I know I am a soulless monstrosity.
これ昔ラジオドラマで聞いて面白かったから小説でも読んでDVDで映像見たっけかな。また見れてよかった。なんか感動した。
A tragic ending but beautiful at the same time
In the end she was never Eve in his heart in soul only Kiyomi and no one bit Kiyomi.
子どものころちょっとだけ見て、人が火だるまになるシーンがトラウマだったけど、大人になってから見ると怖いより切なさを感じた。最後は利明さんと聖美さんと一緒になれてよかったと、涙が出た。
ストーリーのスケールのデカさの割に、バラエティみたいな音楽の使い方、大仰な演出、葉月里緒奈の演技、全てが安っぽい。
スクエニのゲームのムービーの方が見ていて面白かった。
