After two successive Olympic halfpipe silvers, Hirano Ayumu finally got the gold. The Japanese snowboarder pipped Australia’s Scotty James to the Beijing 2022 title, with US legend Shaun White making an emotional goodbye to the Olympics.

Hirano has a front side 1620. It is also said that the referee suppressed the triple cork score for when he performed this super trick.
No wonder Shaun went retirement.
