Point is don't watch Yasuke it's a waste of time effort and animation budget and also marketting
Man those 2 episodes of Yasuke really make me hype, but episode 3 hits and the it's downhill from there
sounds good to me as a guy who likes history even with the more fantastical elements
Tashkent was good for the first two episodes, shit after that
I watched it
It's beautiful
It's not good.
Voice acting in japanese isn't good
When I heard about the mechs and stuff I was a no for me.
It feels like there wasn't enough character development for anyone involved, not even mentioning that Yasuke doesn't feel like the main character by the end.
Yasuke is a 6/10
That's gonna be a no from me dawg. I agree with Connor. I lost almost all motivation to continue watching when the mechs and robots showed up.
I like you guys but this is shilling too hard for that Netflix money lmao.
Yasuka had a good concept- could have been a masterpiece if they stuck to his actual story and not have mechs.
I feel like that show fell on its face.
It had potential, but due to time constraints or over ambitious, things kinda just happen and then you forget about it because the lack of weight. I feel they should have cut 80% of the magic nonsense, get rid of the robots, and focus on developing the characters and world that they had. Animation was good though.
netflix's yasuke is a disappointment imho, expecting something along the lines of Sword of the Strangers, ended up with magic and mech BS…
Yasuke's later episodes are really disapointing. I really wish they cut down on the fantasical elements or even just give an ultraviolent but historically accurate version. Its like they copied Samurai 7 but failed so hard at the end.
Yasuke was mid AF. LeSean needs more guidance when it comes to his craft. He has cool character design and that's pretty much where his strengths end.
I thought it was pretty alright, nkt bad, I'd give it about a low 7 outta 10
Have they talked about tokyo revengers ?
Only clicked because yasuke aint good… IDK what they smoking
Thought I was gonna be watching a semi-biopic anime about a black guy in Sengoku Japan. Boy, was I in for a shock when I saw all the colours and mechs and shit. Dropped it after the 1st episode, not that it's a long series anyway.
Despite the fact that I waited for this adaptation for 5 years, I, as someone black, just wish the story and characters were more grounded. If we're being honest in the end, I'm happy it's out of development hell
Yasuke is GARBAGE, first two episodes AMAZING… and then…. nope! nope nope nope nope.
The thing with Yasuke is that there’s almost no historical infos on him, and most of the things that people tell about him online are basically made up stories.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s pretty cool to imagine such a badass story about him, but historically, it’s most likely he was just a servant who might have helped fight, and captivated Nobunaga as he was completely different and could provide him some outlook on the rest of the world, but even within the most friendly reports about Yasuke,
he doesn’t appear to have been more than carrying Nobunaga’s weapon before just disappearing completely a year later when Nobunaga’s castle was raided and Nobunaga was killed.
That’s why my guess is they didn’t go for a more grounded approach, and probably because they just wanted Yasuke to be a pretext for the series.
yasuke had a interesting plot but it got shit on
watch castlevania or dota: dragon’s blood
they’re better i promise
The story and magic systems are pretty weird, but I think it's still worth a watch
Yasuke suckeddd what are yall onnn
Yasuke is the poster boy for, "Watch the opening and enjoy your fantasy of the show you imagine it to be rather than actually watching it and finding out it's wildly different and also disappointing," unseating Bleach for that top spot.
Seriously though, the series is bad but the OP is BAD. Possibly the best of the year.
I also trough the anime was weak and the plot was extremely rushed like the introduction of the Evil Monster lady near the end. Flying Lotus really should just do music
Don't mind the magics and stuff but bruh i want to see samurai sword and yasuke but instead they focused on that little girl insteaf
One trash taste after the other these days, yasuke was boring
I thought Yasuke was nearly ruined by the si-fi and fantasy elements added to the real story.
Yasuke is a 2/10 anime. They shouldn’t have put in robots and sorcerers in a historical anime
Flying Lotus rules.
the yasuke ost is fire tho, we can all agree on that
The only thing that's good about yasuke is the animation and flylo's ost
I understand it's anime so they're bound to get a little crazy with the source material but the robots really put a damper on the whole thing for me.
I overall liked the series but the mechas don’t make any fucking sense like it didn’t need to be added
