Episode 11 of SSSS.Dynazenon outright confirms that Gauma is the same 5000 year old mummy from ep 18 of the 1993 Gridman series & even uses/references audio of Yuka from the very same episode. This also directly confirms that the SSSS series are sequels to the 1993 Tokusatsu series.

  1. I don't think the word said in the end is "mirror", but more like a pronounciation of "miira" (ミイラ ) which means "mummy"

  5. why in the world does the subttle write mummy in Japanese as MIRROR

  7. So was it a mistranslation on erai's part? It wasnt a mirro, but the mummy? I was wondering why theyd show a picture of a mummy while talking about mirrors.

  8. It's bogging me why studio trigger said that the past Gridman wasn't connected to the new series only to end up it indirectly it's. It's like they planned it from way back, like 5,000 years ago.

  9. Thank you for making this, it makes more sense after watching the final ep!

  10. Yes yomogi…. that is a Mirror…… a Mirror that disappeared………… a well preserved mirror.

  11. I love how the creators "love" the original series so much, and yes the homages or "nostalgia" it's relevant for the story and background, and in the same time it's not intrusive for the new characters and setting.
You don't have to watch the original toku show to enjoy it. But if you watch it, you gonna feel more rewarded.
