Shinkai Makoto. The only name that I have found for 6 years. Everytime I feel lost, think about my future, I remember the name, every scene in his movies. For me, they are not only anime or cinematic, it is my spirit, my dream and who I want to become. I am living in a developing country, there is still no 2D movie, but it does not lack of talented artists and animators. They work and also dream of making a movie like that, and me either. Now I am 18yrs, it must be hard but I want to be one of the first animators who make a 2D movie about my hometown, that should be real proud.
If only the world were as beautiful as Makoto Shinkai's art!

That's why I like Makoto Shinkai and his animation so much my heart can't change position but my feet can I've learned that lesson only from 5 centimeters per second. It's not slice of life it's the way how our life is. In my blue sky you are the sun.
Anime has a lot more respect for nature than we do. Our world could be like this, if only we lived in greater harmony with nature.
