In this video we continue the Asia adventure with a quick hop on Vietnam Airlines from Siem Reap (REP) to Ho Chi Minh City a.k.a. Saigon (SGN). This flight is in Vietnam Airline’s regional A321 business class and it’s definitely showing it’s age, but it’s perfectly fine for a quick flight like this. Still, Vietnam Airlines ends up feeling a little… underwhelming. Watch the video to find out why. (Includes a look at Siem Reap Airport in Cambodia and the surprisingly nice lounge there). Oh and look out for the lightning strike we caught on camera. The weather was definitely a little rough this evening, but it smoothed out toward the end!

Luv the jazz! Great fit. I would've liked to see economy seats too…..but am guessing pretty much like any other short haul A320.

Your flight videos are always so soothing even though travel and flying is not always soothing. I enjoy them. Really liked your Alaskan school hoppers video a while back. For this video, I had forgotten a few flights I have been on where it sounds like 100hp outboard boat motor on takeoff… always reassuring. Thank you.

Trying to recall our flight from Siem Reap 15 or more years ago. Some of those regional airports are attractive and quiet. Wonder if this quietness is part of the Covid restrictions? Asia is doing well at restricting the movement of people and the spread of respiratory diseases.
What is the tiny mistake as mentioned in Flght Radar? Should have tried an internal Vietnam Airlines flight in 1995!!!!!
The new age tunes are always lovely but the SMOOOOOOTH JAZZ is a nice refreshing change too…loved it. Great scenery and yes, too bad it was a night flight. As always, well-done!

Just got of a VN A321 this morning in SGN. As a family split up across Economy and Business. Both underwhelming and basic. Seats spacious, soft and comfortable though. Level of English very very basic on the ground and airborne. Checkin and boarding staff didn't engage with Business customers at all. Very likely due to low level of English. But it got me from A to B safely. Underwhelming product imho.
I've been flying in and out of SR for a decade plus; it's a really nice airport. I'm kind of upset the airport is moving as the current one is convenient for town. I've always flown economy on Air Vietnam, even to and from the UK. It's not the most comfortable, but the service has always been good and they've been super-helpful getting me between terminals in Vietnam.
I would appreciate a less sarcastic comment on the back of developing countries
