I got super confused too but I did figure it out… It is a micro adjustment on the router table fence. What matters here is the "Shortest distance between the fence AND the bit"… NOT the relative angle of the fence to the bit. On a table saw the relationship of the fence relative to the blade (talking parallel) can be a critical adjustment BUT NOT ON A ROUTER TABLE! hahaha "Parallel" doesn't matter on a router table… only the shortest distance from the bit to the fence… SO! What he made here was a fence that can "creep up" on a target distance. How precise? That depends on the length of the fence itself! Look at the one in the video… apx 12"? One degree of pivot (or in this case adjustment) equals about 2.66mm.. That's a HUGE amount of "Fine" adjustment for just 1 degree of movement. I think it's pretty neat. Nicely done!
