Was speaking with a Southwest flight attendant on a recent flight. Their union had been without an updated contract for over three years. Looks like their union just agreed a new contract the other day. Insane.
Theres a stopwatch in the cockpit and before takeoff while waiting at the runway theshold the pilot will start it after they are given clearence to cross it and after that point the crew begins to get paid
pilots and FA get paid from the time the door closes to the time the doors open. if they are parked at the tarmac when there is a delay as long as the doors are closed they are getting paid.
One of the worst jobs like being a waiter if the food sucks guess who is gonna hear about it first also you are literally doing a slave's job for little to no money I guess flight attendant pays more tho
