How would you feel if the wonderful plays, portrayals, and images in the movies and dramas we usually enjoy were filmed at the huge burden of actors and crews? Mrs. Asada, an Intimacy Coordinator, will speak about her views on gender and the importance of consent from many perspectives, as a person involved in the film industry, as a woman, and as a person raising a child. Ms. Asada graduated from University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 1998. After working as an interpreter for US-Japan co-productions, film festivals, and overseas musicals, she completed the Intimacy Coordinator Training Program at the US-based Intimacy Professionals Association in 2020. Then, she became the first Intimacy Coordinator in Japan! Her most recent works include NHK Drama 10 “Ooku”. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
