失踪した5歳の息子を探す一家の苦悩と秘密を描くサスペンスドラマ

「メディア王〜華麗なる一族〜」でエミー賞ドラマシリーズ部門主演女優賞に輝き、GG賞にもノミネートされたサラ・スヌークが主演を務め、本作でも迫真の演技を見せている話題のサスペンス・ドラマが日本初放送。第1話を先行放送し、2月13日より本放送開始（金曜22時ほか）。子供の失踪を機に、セレブ一家に隠された秘密と、その背後にある驚くべき真相が描かれる。

仕事と子育てに追われるマリッサ（スヌーク）は、夫ピーター（ジェイク・レイシー）に不満を抱きつつも、誰もが羨む裕福な暮らしを送っている。ところが、5歳の息子マイロ（デューク・マクラウド）の行方が分からなくなり、大パニックに陥る。学校で親しくなったママ友のジェニー（ダコタ・ファニング）から、彼女の息子とマイロが一緒に遊ぶことになったと連絡を受けていたのだが、ジェニーはそんな連絡をしておらず…。やがて、ジェニーのフリをしてマリッサにメールをした人物がマイロを連れ去ったと判明するが……。

捜査が進むにつれ、事件に関わる様々な人たちの嘘や秘密が暴かれていくのが見もの。“ママ友”関係や、夫の育児への非協力、信頼して子供の世話を頼んでいるシッターの裏側など、リアルな描写も興味を引く。

仕事と育児に忙殺される中、強制的に学校行事への参加を促されて戸惑うジェニーは、同じ気持ちのマリッサと意気投合。だが、自分の名前を語った人物が彼女の息子を連れ去ったために、複雑な展開となっていく。天才子役として有名になり、その後も第一線で活躍し続けているファニングが、ジェニーの心情を見事に体現している。
