娘のため、デスゲームに身を投じる主人公・ベンを演じるのは、『トップガン マーヴェリック』での好演で一躍スターダムを駆け上がり、立て続けに映画の主演に抜擢されるなど、今ハリウッドで最も注目の俳優グレン・パウエル。今後も、J・J・エイブラムスや、ロン・ハワードといった名だたるヒットメイカーの作品への主演が決まっている次世代のスターが、本作で満を持してアクション超大作に初主演する。
