『バック・トゥ・ザ・フューチャー』映画の重要アイテムが行方不明に！キャスト総出の大捜索が始まった

時を超えて愛される傑作『バック・トゥ・ザ・フューチャー』。本作には数々の名場面が存在するが、そのひとつを彩った「あるアイテム」が行方不明になっているという。この緊急事態に、キャストやスタッフ、さらには音楽界の実力者までを巻き込んでの大捜索キャンペーンを収めた特別映像が到着した！
物語の後半、すれ違ってしまった両親を結びつけるため、主人公マーティはダンスパーティーで大奮闘。無事に二人を結びつけた後、アンコールとしてチャック・ベリーの「ジョニー・B.グッド」を披露し、ステージで熱狂的なギターソロをかき鳴らすあのシーンは、映画史に残る名場面だ。しかし、そこで使用されたギター「ギブソンES-345」が、なんと現在行方不明だというのだ。
映像では、マーティ役のマイケル・J・フォックスを筆頭に、ロレイン役のリー・トンプソン、マービン役のハリー・ウォーターズ・Jr、ドク役のクリストファー・ロイド、製作のボブ・ゲイルらが、このプロジェクトのために立ち上がった。さらに、当時ギターを貸し出した楽器店オーナーや、本作の大ファンであり捜索に協力する人気ミュージシャン、ジェイソン・イズベルも登場するなど、事態は大きな広がりを見せている。
1985年以降、行方がわからなくなっているそのギターについて、リー・トンプソンは「人々にとって大きな意味を持つ、まさに“聖杯”」とコメント。そしてクリストファー・ロイドも映画のタイトルになぞらえ、深刻な面持ちで「ロスト・トゥ・ザ・フューチャー(未来へと失われてしまった)」と語り、「見つけないと、パラドックスが生じるかもしれない」と、ドクさながらに警告している。
到着した特別映像には、この事態を解決すべく、真剣な眼差しで協力を呼びかける彼らの姿が収められている。
そして最大のハイライトは、捜索を呼びかけるマイケルの前に現れるサプライズゲストだ。メガホンを片手に、「申し訳ないが、音が大きすぎる」と、劇中の台詞を再現しながら登場したのはヒューイ・ルイス。冒頭のバンドオーディションで審査員役としてマーティの演奏を止めた彼が、時を超えてマイケルと笑顔で抱き合う姿は、ファンの胸を熱くするに違いない。
『バック・トゥ・ザ・フューチャー』は2025年12月12日より、IMAX/4DX にて1週間限定上映
